Grate or mince ginger and garlic. Heat a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high to high heat. In a small bowl, whisk coconut milk, sugar, chili sauce, lime zest, lime juice and remaining salt until blended. Repeat twice more, with the remaining beef, and set the cooked beef aside.

Instructions to make Spicy Pepper Steak:

  1. Slice peppers and onions in equal size pieces (thin 2 inch strips or so)..
  2. Slice beef in same size pieces as veggies..
  3. Add all remaining ingredients to the beef (EXCEPT Beef broth and cornstarch)..
  4. Let beef marinate for 30 minutes or more..
  5. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium high heat. Add beef and cook for about 5 minutes..
  6. Add peppers, onions, and broth..
  7. Reduce heat to medium low (or a low boil). Cook for about 30-40 minutes uncovered. Check broth and adjust seasoning to your liking..
  8. Add the cornstarch slurry, stir and cook until thickened (5 minutes).
  9. Serve over cooked rice..

Return peppers, onions and garlic to skillet and stir to combine. Serve over hot cooked rice and garnish with sesame seeds, if desired.
