  5. Add the chickpeas to the pot. Check for salt and add if necessary. Mix and close lid. Let cook..
  6. Add boiling water – enough to just about cover the lentils.
  7. Let boil for about 6-8 minutes..
  8. Enjoy!!!!.

Place the split peas, onion, tomatoes, ginger, ground cumin, turmeric, crushed garlic, curry leaves and stock into a slow cooker. Add most of the chilli and stir to combine. Heat oil in a large pot or very deep skillet over medium high heat. Add the potatoes and stir to coat in the Spices. If using fresh okra, trim, leaving tops intact, being careful not to cut into pods.
